The Canadian winter is often a time when many of us find ourselves daydreaming about warmer days. Lounging on the beach, drinking fruity drinks, and enjoying much better weather. So, if you’re planning a vacation, but aren’t sure where to stay, or are looking for more inspirations for your daydreams, here are five of the world’s most luxurious beach resorts.

  1. Four Seasons Hualalai, Hawaii

The Hualalai is one of five Four Seasons resorts located in Hawaii. Offering accommodations from suites to villas, guests can bespoke their stay to exactly suit their needs and get the most out of their island getaway. While enjoying their stay, guests can also take advantage of surfing classes, a guided diving experience, and blacksmithing lessons using traditional Hawaiian blacksmithing techniques.

Exclusive to the Hualalai resort as well, is King’s Pond, a swimmable aquarium with onsite marine biologists, where guests can learn about the local wildlife and the efforts the resort is taking to preserve the ecosystem of the area.

  1. One + Only Mandarina, Mexico

Located close to Punta Mita, the One&Only Mandarina is nestled along the undeveloped coastline of the Riviera Nayarit. The resort itself took great consideration while being built not to disturb the rainforest where it is located, and as such, the resort’s treehouses and villas are incorporated into the natural environment. All accommodations are built using natural materials, and are decorated by local Mexican artisans, ensuring respect for both the environment and local culture.

Guests can enjoy multiple wellness options for the ultimate relaxing retreat, and can dine at one of the three restaurants, where celebrity chefs make use of local ingredients for the ultimate dining experience. Oh, and pets are also welcome.

  1. The Brando, French Polynesia

Named for actor Marlon Brando who once called the island home, The Brando is a one-of-a-kind luxury experience. The island is located in the Tetiaroa Atoll and is only accessible via a quick 20-minute plane ride from Tahiti.  Once guests arrive at this exclusive destination, they will instantly be immersed in Polynesian culture and the beautiful nature of the resort.

The resort offers 35 private villas which offer the ultimate experience of relaxation and luxury, and if guests are needing more space, they also offer one private residence. When Brando first came to the island, he not only fell in love with the culture, but made it his mission to preserve the natural ecosystem of the island. In this way, guests can vacation at a resort that has been awarded a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) platinum certification.

  1. Amanyara, Turks and Caicos Islands

Located on the shores of an 18,000-acre nature reserve, Amanyara overlooks Providenciales’ Northwest Point Marine National Park. Guests have the option of staying in either the resort’s pavilions or villas, where villas with three bedrooms or more come with their own private chef. Both options offer luxury, comfort, privacy, and most importantly, relaxation.

While staying at Amanyara, guests can take advantage of the beautiful waters by kayaking, swimming, or partaking in daily complimentary snorkeling. In addition, the resort offers private yacht charters and a Nature Discovery Centre, where guests can get a crash course in marine biology and learn about how the resort is working to preserve and restore the island’s coral reef.

  1. North Island, Seychelles

Nothing says exclusive and luxury quite like a private island getaway where guests have the option of buying out the entire island for the length of their stay. Located in the north of the Indian Ocean archipelago, North Island offers only 11 private villas, so guests have lots of space to relax in the comfort and privacy of their villa.

The island boasts a lifestyle of “Barefoot Luxury”, allowing visitors to embrace the easy-going, barefoot lifestyle of the islands. In addition, there are two dining spaces located on the island, or for the ultimate luxury experience, guests can plan a bespoke meal plan to directly suit their needs. On top of all of this, with plenty of options like spa experiences, swimming, and water excursions, and so much more, this is sure to be the most luxurious holiday someone can take.
