Nisha Khare is a registered clinical counselor, producer/director, MC, brand ambassador and co-founder of Women of Wonder Global, but ultimately, that work can be summarized in one word: storyteller.

Through her organization, co-founded with friend and business partner Karly Niveu. Through her work with her husband Sharad with Human Biography (which has captured stories from both Meryl Streep and Oprah Winfrey) and her wellness chats on YouTube, her aim is to help uplift and empower women through simple connection that seems to have fallen by the wayside in modern world.

Elixuer spoke with Khare about inspiring other women, the importance of female friendships and hope for a brighter generation.

How has Women of Wonder given you the chance to bring wellness to others?

Women of Wonder has been an extraordinary platform that allows me to weave together my professional insights with my deep belief in the transformative power of wellness.

This initiative, co-led with my partner Karly Neveu, whose superpowers beautifully complement mine, enables us to create a vibrant, supportive community where women are inspired and energized to thrive.

What does a “Stigma-free society” mean to you?

I had the privilege of hosting an online show about mental wellness with the Stigma Free Society, an organization based in British Columbia.

I learned the profound importance of creating a world where people can be their authentic selves without fear of judgment.

I envision a world where each person can confidently embody their true self, celebrating their uniqueness and contributing to a more inclusive and understanding society.

You’ve also spoken about the importance of female friendships. Can you expand on what that kind of communication offers?

Female friendships are the bedrock of a nurturing and supportive environment.

When women bring their true selves to the table, it allows others to do the same, fostering a space of trust, mutual caring, respect, and understanding.

Historically, societal pressures have often pitted women against each other, leading to feelings of isolation and lack of support.

When I show up, honest and open with myself and others, I see the connections with the women around me flourish.

I strongly believe in the power of self-love, which enables us to share our best energy with others who are also striving to present their best selves. Together, we rise.

The relationships formed from the simplest forms of communication can be amazingly resilient and beneficial, and a study published in the Harvard Business Review found that women with a strong group of female friends are more successful.

Can you talk about what it’s like working alongside family, as you work with your husband, and, recently your daughter?

Speaking at the United Nations about ‘Powerful Partnerships’ was a reflection of my core values.

I truly believe in it on multiple levels. Seeing my daughter, Nola, take the lead on an episode of our Women of Wonder Global podcast, and inspire a group of women at our in-person gatherings, all at such a young age, fills me with awe.

Working with my husband as co-founders of Human Biography, we delve into the lives of incredible humans, sharing their inspiring stories.

With love and connection, we collectively elevate, forging a path toward a conscious and self-actualized world.
