Fairmont Chateau Whistler provides breathtaking views of nature and the best luxuries out there! A great choice for the winter months, you can go skiing and afterwards, relax in the resort’s spa or hot tub. Surrounded by lush green forests and blue lakes, you can easily unwind and forget about all the stress.

Clayoquot Wilderness Lodge (Vancouver Island, B.C.)

This lodge comes with spas, bars, and all the other luxuries for a much-needed vacation. Consider going there when you want to try a peaceful and quiet resort, as opposed to festive ones. Fairmont Tremblant (Mont-Tremblant, Quebec)

A popular destination for both youths and adults, Tremblant in Quebec offers beautiful scenery with its mountains and various pubs and venues. You can enjoy skiing, with lifts that allow you to observe all the nature around you. The tiny village community of Tremblant has much to do. The small village caters to tourists and is known for its maple syrup. A popular resort in both the summer and winter months, Tremblant is a great place to take a family vacation.

The Westin Resort and Spa Whistler (Whistler, B.C.)

A resort with a large golfing community, the Westin Resort in Whistler is best visited in the summer months. For golf-lovers, this is a perfect spot to practice, meet new players, and partake in contests to test your golf skills. Its history with the Olympics certainly attracts a crowd, and it also offers many physical activities, like ziplining and ATVing. The activity of ziplining is a thrilling allure for adrenaline-seekers. Afterwards, you can book an appointment at the spa.

Halcyon Hot Springs Resort (Nakusp, B.C.)

A warm sanctuary from the Canadian cold, Halcyon Hot Springs Resort is surrounded by beautiful mountain peaks and blue lakes. The natural hot springs provide great relief after a long walk in the wilderness, especially in the cold winter months. Some tourists enjoy taking an ‘ice plunge’ in the cold lakes nearby- and quickly warming up by jumping into the hot springs nearby. For indoor activities, consider the resort’s luxurious spa and yoga classes.

JW Marriott The Rosseau Muskoka Resort and Spa (Muskoka, ON)

This resort epitomizes luxury. With a luxurious fitness centre, indoor pools, restaurants, a spa, you can’t easily be bored. More so, the surrounding forest of Muskoka is bound to capture your attention, providing the perfect setting for a variety of activities, like sailing or paddling in the lake, or skiing in the mountains in the winter. What’s more, a week at this resort can truly make you wonder about moving to the countryside of Canada.

Fairmont Le Chateau Frontenac (Quebec City, Quebec)

A hotel with beautiful European charm, Fairmont Le Chateau Frontenac is located in Quebec City. It perfectly blends both historical and modern charm in its architecture, and the many pools and spas it offers. For Canadians, both Anglo and French, it reminds them of the nation’s European connections.

Many of these resorts are easily accessible from Toronto. You can choose to travel- by plane to British Columbia or by car to Quebec. However, it is wise to consider the best times to travel in, either during the winter breaks or summer holidays, as there is a lot to do, both indoors and outdoors. With such diverse resort amenities and architecture, you will truly feel like you have taken an overseas vacation, without even leaving Canada!
