If you enjoy wearing brown, try pairing it with other unique colours to add more style and glamour to your outfits. These colours could be white, gold, green, and black. The shades of brown can vary, as can the shades of the aforementioned colours, so select the best-matched styles, depending on which clothing item you choose to match it with, whether it is a blouse, pants, or skirt.

White

Try a snow-white or off-white (beige) blouse to go with your brown leather skirt or capri pants. White is best paired with brown during the spring or summer season, as it adds a contrasting shade to your outfit. White is usually paired with black, but brown is a lighter alternative that is still dark enough to contrast.

Gold

Gold or bright yellow colours are suitable for all seasons. Think of wearing a gold blouse or sweater paired under a brown coat, shearling or leather. The best shade of brown is brown with reddish hues (copper) or tan-brown, similar in tone to gold, but darker. This makes it a perfect backdrop for a gold top.

Grey

For business events, consider wearing a grey suit over a brown top. Match it with a grey blazer,  pants, or skirt. You can also choose to match it with a checkered print jacket or pants. Your top should be a dark or medium shade of brown. This is a smart alternative for formal occasions, as it stands out from other traditional black and white outfits.

 Green

Olive green is the best shade of green to use with brown, as it is dark enough to match. Try an olive jacket with brown pants or other outfits to showcase the similar tones these two colours have. Another shade of green, Kelly green, is brighter than olive;  consider pairing it with a green top under a brown jacket or coat. Kelly green is an ideal colour for matching shoes, like stylish pumps, that you can wear with a brown outfit.

Red

Dark red or maroon is perfect for pairing with a light shade of brown, to highlight the similarities and contrast between the two colours. Try pairing a formal maroon dress with light chocolate brown shoes or earrings. Maroon and merlot red are common shades of dark red that pair well with brown shoes, scarves, or jewellery.
