Who says bundling up can take a toll on your style? If summer is all about showing off how great you can look without much clothes, fall allows you to showcase your wardrobe.

If you want to stay warm and cozy, you might be tempted to layer up. Putting on too much clothes can leave you feeling awkward. Nevertheless, we found a way for you to stay warm while looking stylish. Here are a few tips to play around with your outfits and layer up in a flattering way.

The Trench Coat

A classic trench coat is an indispensable fall wardrobe accessory. When the cool weather kicks in, it is ideal to snag on and can easily be paired with your favourite denim or dress. The double-breasted coat gives you a fitted look and is versatile enough to match anything.

Considered the perfect transitional jacket, the trench coat is ideal for rainy days and is light enough to wear over a t-shirt and roomy enough to accommodate a sweater without looking bulky.

Turtleneck Sweater

The turtleneck sweater is one of the easiest ways to stay warm while staying elegant. Turtleneck sweaters and dresses are a staple in the fall and winter. You can easily pair a turtleneck top with dresses, blazers, and overalls.

Considered one of the sexiest winter outfits, turtleneck sweaters, and dresses are versatile enough to complement a wide range of outfits. You can slip one on an unbuttoned V-neck shirt or wear it with a summery midi-skirt or maxi skirt in the fall or winter.

Bring out the Long Sleeves

Long-sleeved dresses and blouses are perfect for the cold season. Many styles are chic enough to provide you with the needed warmth by covering your arms. There are many ways to stay stylish and warm in a maxi dress or long-sleeve blouse.

A long-sleeved dress can be paired with a cardigan or a vest to keep you warm without looking bulky. At night, you can pair a maxi dress with faux fur, knits, or leather jackets for a more elegant vibe.

Wear a Cardigan

You can’t go wrong by wearing a cardigan when the fall breeze rolls in. Endlessly versatile, a cardigan matches many outfits, from pencil skirts to denims and fitted skirts. One of the biggest advantages of a cardigan is that it can stay open; this allows you to showcase more of your style.

A cardigan will keep you warm in multiple weather conditions. They also suit several female body silhouettes. Cardigans can instantaneously transform an outfit. Simply pair them with a blouse or dress and add an elegant brooch, belt, or flower to accentuate your look.

Look Trendy in a Pantsuit Set

A pantsuit epitomizes elegance. It is also perfect for business meetings and other formal occasions. There are plenty of new trends and styles that you could try. You can also mix and match the classic pantsuit with jackets or trousers for a more polished and refined look that’s fashionable yet trendy. A classic pantsuit is the perfect fashion foundation for fall; even oversized suits will fit your stylish knitwear underneath.

Add a Blazer

Blazers come in a variety of styles, from boxy to fitted to oversized and classic. A classic blazer over jeans or a matching skirt can keep you warm and refine your look. A fitted blazer can match a put-together ensemble and make you look elegant.

To add more coziness, wear it with a warmer piece, like a turtleneck blouse underneath. When the need arises, you can always wear a blazer with a double-breasted coat or a pea coat. You can’t go wrong by wearing a blazer at work. It always adds a touch of professionalism to any matching outfit and is a great way to make you look presentable at meetings or other office functions.

Consider a Sweater Dress

Cozy and comfortable, a sweater dress is ideal for all age groups. The sweater fabric provides you with the needed warmth and insulation in cooler weather. If you are wearing it to work, a sweater dress should ideally be right above the knee or knee-length with a modest neckline. For dressier occasions and outings, you can match a sweater dress with boots or high heels for an elegant and trendy look.

To accentuate your appearance, you can complement it with a belt to take shape and highlight your waistline. You can include a variety of belt styles, like a leopard belt or a thick or thin belt. Thicker sweater dresses go along with thin belts for a pristine and elegant look that isn’t overwhelming.

The fall season allows you to showcase your style while staying warm. While it’s appealing to follow the latest trends, your personal style and taste should continually shine. You can always adapt current fashion trends to fit your taste. After all, confidence is the key to elegance!
